No. Our zodiac is safe and stable on the water.

How big are the whales?

Whales vary with species. For example, a new born pilot whale calf is about four feet in length but a fin whale can be up to eighty feet long!

How long is the tour?

Tours average two hours. Shorter trips are available.

Should we bring sunscreen?

Yes. The summer UV index ranges from 4 to 10.

The vessel will travel 45 knots. Speed is convienent but not always needed.

It varies. We have comfortable seating for 12 passengers.

Late spring, summer and early fall.

What time of the day is best?

Water is usually calmer in the morning and early evening.

Can we see dolphins too?

Dolphins are very common along the coastlines of Cape Breton, especially near Ingonish.

Is the tour suitable for children?

This tour is not recommended for small children and infants.
